Best Lacrosse Gifts (2026): Ideas for Every Budget, from $30 to $200
Prices updated November 2, 2026.
Shopping for a lacrosse player is tricky if you don't play. Gear has to fit, sticks are personal, and some "gifts" create work instead of joy. This guide sorts lacrosse gifts by budget and by how safe they are to buy without the player's input, using products and prices from our daily price check (checked October 29, 2026; cleat prices updated November 1, 2026). Holiday sales often add extra discounts, and every card below links to the retailer and to an Amazon search so you can compare.
The safest gifts (no sizing needed)
Mini sticks are the classic lacrosse gift: fun, cheap and impossible to get wrong. We track the STX Mini Power complete and Nike Mini Lakota fiddle stick at $29.99, the STX Peanuts mini sticks at $34.99, the STX Mini Eclipse fiddle stick at $39.99, and Hackees mini sticks from $39 to $46. They're great for hallway catch, office desks and stocking stuffers, for players of any age.
Decorative lax straps at about $10 make simple stocking stuffers too. Gift cards to a lacrosse retailer are the other always-safe option, especially for older players who are picky about gear.
Gifts under $75
A youth complete stick like the STX Stallion 50 ($59.99) is an excellent gift for a young child who's starting the sport, since youth sticks don't need much customizing. Entry gloves like the STX Stallion 75 ($54.99 to $59.99) and Maverik MX ($74.99) work for beginners if you know the glove size. Elbow pads from $59.99 to $69.99 (STX Stallion 1K, Maverik Max, ECD Echo, STX Cell VI) are a good add-on for defenders.
Cleats are the best value in this range right now, because so many are deeply discounted: Adidas Adizero at $55.99 (was $120), New Balance Burn X4 at $59.99 (was $119.99), and Nike Huarache 9 Elite LE Low at $63.99 (was $125). You'll need the player's shoe size, and lacrosse cleat sizing is close to regular athletic shoe sizing.
Gifts from $75 to $150
Gloves are the most popular big gift for lacrosse players, and the best deal we track is the Warrior Evo QX2 at $139.99, down from $199.99. Mid-range gloves like the STX LZR ($124.99), Maverik M6 ($144.99) and Warrior Franchise ($154.99) are also popular. You need the glove size; check the size printed on the player's current gloves and ask whether they still fit.
A new head for an experienced player is a great gift, but only if you know which one they want; most players have strong preferences. Current heads are $109.99 unstrung, or about $145 to $170 strung. Complete sticks like the Warrior Evo Attack ($109.99), ECD Bravo 1 ($124.99) and StringKing Complete 2 Intermediate ($129.99) are a safer choice for a newer player.
Big gifts ($150 and up)
Premium gloves like the Maverik Shift and Max, STX Surgeon RZR 2 and Warrior Evo V ($179.99 to $189.99), or the STX RZR 3 ($219.99), are a big upgrade for a serious player. Shoulder pads ($99.99 to $179.99) are a good gift if the player has outgrown theirs; the Warrior Evo shoulder pad is $99.99 (was $149.99).
Helmets are one of the most meaningful gifts but also the hardest to buy as a surprise. Fit is critical for safety, so either shop together, buy from a retailer with easy exchanges, or give a gift card toward one. Adult certified helmets we track start at $119.99 (Cascade CS-R).
Gifts to avoid as a surprise
Avoid surprise helmets unless you know the exact model and size. Avoid buying a head or shaft for an experienced player without asking; they care a lot about shape, stiffness and pocket. Avoid women's sticks for a boys' player or men's sticks for a girls' player; the games use different equipment. And avoid used helmets as gifts entirely.
Gifts by player type
For a young beginner: a mini stick plus a youth complete stick. For a middle schooler: gloves or cleats on sale, or an intermediate complete stick. For a high schooler: premium gloves, a strung head they've picked out, or a gift card. For a goalie: a goalie-specific gift only if you know their gear; otherwise gloves or a gift card. For a parent or coach: mini sticks are a fun desk gift.
